The feedback I worked on was clarifying how investors would make a profit

I had the "aha" moment for Elevator Pitch #2, which I think was my best one. After that, it felt hard to improve on one I already thought was the best I could do. I think what made #2 the best was that I used props, it made what I was talking about come alive, like the kid who used the coffee cup for his elevator pitch. This time I tried talking near a fridge, but we are in between vacations so I didn't actually have any food to throw away!
Hi Christie,
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on your 3rd elevator pitch. I loved your background audience :) Although your 2nd one was more animated with props, your 3rd one seems like you are pitching to investors vs. consumers, very professional. Thanks for sharing.

Great job on your Elevator Pitch No. 3. I watched all three of your pitches. I enjoyed watching your 1st and 2nd pitches. While I thought that your first pitch did not need any improvement, I liked the props and message of the second pitch. I now understand how to make money by downloading the app. This third pitch perfectly ties everything together for me. It is so easy to just schedule a pick up for old food. I also liked that the solution feeds animals. Thank you again for sharing your post and allowing me to comment on it.
ReplyDeleteChristie, you are a great presenter. Props in the your second pitch were good use to get the picture across. I did something similar in my pitches as well. I think you took the feedback from your commenters and incorporated into your Elevator pitches. The thing for me with this refrigerator management system or waste disposal. I don't know that many solutions will be possible to be successful. I found the payback to be quite long before making profit. I just dont know if it will catch on enough to be successful. Thank you again for sharing your post. Loved it. Tara
ReplyDeleteHi Christie, Great Pitch as usual. I think you did a great job hitting all of the major key points and created a compelling “hook” to really get the person you are pitching to want to hear more about the food waste reduction product. I think that it came across fairly clearly. I especially like that you included some information on how the investor would be able to make their money back. Also I think it was very useful to stand in front of the refrigerator to use it as a prop. I think that it really helped. Thanks for sharing, Kevin Clements
ReplyDeleteTake three! Action! Great job Christie. You are made for this type of work. Being in front of camera, smiling, and giving a heck of a presentation is what you were born to do. You feel very comfortable and seem very prepared. Too bad I cannot invest in your start-up since I already promised Utton in his post to provide $150,000 and make millions with him. Maybe after I make millions with him, I can invest in your idea and combine both ideas and companies. We'll see. Great job though in your pitch!
ReplyDeleteHi Christie,
ReplyDeleteGreat job. I agree that you nailed it on #2 already, but you are still great at this. I would hire you in my company just to pitch ideas. Your enthusiasm and stage presence are off the charts. And pretty soon you will have a fantastic UF MBA degree up on the wall to back you up. Keep that positive attitude and you will go far in life. Great job overall!
